Gili-gili National Conservation Area
Bangsal Port, Pemenang District, North Lombok Regency
This national coastal conservation zone possesses high potential of natural resources, from land to marine life. Life forms often met are corals like soft coral (Hellophora sp); (labophyella sp) and etc, hard corals (Millephora sp); (Anthipathes sp); (Monthipora sp) and etc, and various reef fish (Balistapus undulates); (Lethrinus nuburotus); (Platakpinatus); and etc.
Land vegetations are those that are concidered as grown naturally Ilike Asam Laut (Temarindus Indica); Waru Laut (Hibiscus tiliaceus); Ketapang (Terminalia cattapa) and etc.
Wild animals that can be seen easily are various land birds and wild swan. Survey says that there are 54 genus and 148 species of corals inhabiting these three gilis. The corals are dominated by Acropora sp, which is grown 3-14 meters underwater.
