Geoproducts

Food, crafts and experiences made by local people and connected with the Geopark's landscape.

A geoproduct is something made in the Geopark that tells part of its story: produce grown in volcanic soil, crafts made from local materials, or food and drink with a recipe tied to a place. Geoproducts give visitors something to take home and give producers a fair income from the Geopark's reputation.

What the land produces

From the volcanic soil

Coffee, vegetables, strawberries and garlic from the high valley of Sembalun.

From the villages

Woven cloth, bamboo and rattan work, and the crafts of the Sasak villages.

From the forest edge

Honey, palm sugar and herbal drinks from the communities around the national park.
